Sip. Smoke. Soap. started as a pipe dream (tee hee) as a means to share our thoughts about The Young and the Restless, providing insightful takes and episode breakdowns of all the goings on in Genoa City. It quickly began to morph into something even larger though. While the idea of a Y&R recap blog seemed like something fun that others could enjoy reading and taking part in by leaving comments with their own thoughts and feelings of how things went down in that day’s episode, it had already been done before… A lot. 

While we still wanted to provide our own unique takes in the form of episode recaps, we also decided to use this idea of creating a website as an opportunity to form it into something bigger – more than just a community discussion around the Young and the Restless. Another idea rattling around for some time now has been to create a lifestyle blog, focusing on tips and tricks of everything from healthy eating and exercises to information on finances, self-improvement, overall happiness and much, much more!

After thinking things through, we decided that it made the most sense to combine the two ideas into one website, and produce something that hadn’t been done before – a lifestyle blog that utilizes The Young and the Restless as a catalyst for the content!

Here at Sip. Smoke. Soap., you’ll find entertaining and engaging sub-pages, with their own themes for different topics that put a fun spin on the local spots in Genoa City. Did you like the looks of the speciality cocktail being served at Society this week? Check out our version of Society, ‘Community,’ where you can find recipes for both food and drink inspired by Y&R! Interested in learning more about money matters and personal finance? ‘Book a meeting’ at our own Newman Enterprises – ‘New Money Enterprises!’ Or maybe you’re just looking for some easy reading to pass the time (always to the lefthand side), and light-hearted laughs to get ‘lifted.’ Look no further than our very own Crimson Lights Coffee House that we call the, ‘Crimson Eyes Cafe!’
